At Crossroads Counselling & Psychological Services, we are dedicated to offering warm, supportive ADHD assessments for children, youth, and young adults (up to 30 years old). Our ADHD assessment services are provided through our office in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia.

What Are ADHD Assessments?

Our ADHD assessments follow a thorough and thoughtful process designed to understand and enhance your child’s experience, especially within the school environment. We take a comprehensive approach, gathering insights from multiple sources to evaluate your child’s strengths and areas for growth.

Typically, ADHD Assessments require roughly 2 hours to complete (though this can vary), working with the psychologist.

ADHD Assessments Primarily Explore:

  • Inattention: Problems with sustaining attention, distractibility, and concentration
  • Hyperactivity: Problems with excessive motor movement
  • Impulsivity: Acting without considering the consequences
  • Executive Functioning: The ability to regulate one’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors
  • Can also screen for other socio-emotional and behavioral challenges or memory difficulties

We’re here to support your family through this process and help your child reach their full potential.

Please note that some universities and colleges sometimes offer bursaries to help cover assessment costs. Clients are encouraged to explore opportunities with their academic support centre.
