Rebecca MacLean, M.A.

Registered Counselling Therapist – Candidate (RCT-C)

Rebecca MacLean, MA, is a newly licensed psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University. Throughout her practicum, Rebecca gained valuable experience working with both children and adults, building on her extensive background in child-focused care. She prioritizes tailoring her methods to the unique needs of each client, using approaches such as person-centered therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Rebecca is dedicated to fostering a supportive and empathetic environment where clients can explore their emotions, develop helpful skills, and achieve personal growth. Her client base includes children, adolescents, and young adults starting from the age of 5 and up.

Rebecca enters the field of mental health seeking to support the growing need for mental health and provide a safe and encouraging space to clients in need of personal, empathetic care. She empathizes with the challenges experienced by school or workplace harassment, children of divorce, interpersonal conflicts, and the unique circumstances which may cause someone stress or heartache. As a psychotherapist, Rebecca always provides a safe and welcoming space for her clients, offering compassion, positive regard, and empathic understanding. She incorporates empirically backed practices into her sessions to help clients recognize their own strengths and resources, deconstruct preconceived narratives, and identify personal ambitions.
