Kelsey Chiasson, M.A.

Registered Counselling Therapist – Candidate (RCT-C)

Kelsey Chiasson understands that reaching out for help can feel overwhelming. As a Canadian Certified Counsellor (Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association), her goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your challenges at your own pace. She works with adults (18+) and couples from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lived experiences, offering compassionate, client-centred counselling.

Kelsey brings both personal experience and academic training to her work. She offers a warm and welcoming environment for clients to navigate the complexities of daily life, as well as the deeper impacts of trauma.

Before becoming a therapist, Kelsey worked as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT). In that role, she developed a deep appreciation for the connection between body and mind—and the importance of addressing the root causes of distress, not just the symptoms.

Kelsey’s approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and grounded in authenticity and respect. She tailors each session to meet the unique needs of every client and believes that each person is the expert of their own life, with strengths waiting to be uncovered.

Areas of focus:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Chronic pain
  • Burnout
  • Grief

Kelsey draws from a variety of therapeutic models, including:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Somatic Therapy

She offers sessions in both English and French.
